About Us
Founded in 2020, Alyra Consulting began as a passion project to change the way businesses managed their revenues and sustainable strategy. They noticed a gap in which many organizations are unequipped to offer their customers the right products at the right price and are often stuck in dated business models.
With expertise in the aviation industry, renewable energy industry, as well as backgrounds in Economics, Sustainability, and Aerospace Engineering, they wanted to bring their expertise of advanced data analytics, market segmentation, and dynamic pricing to enterprises around the world.
Leadership
Javier Aguilar
Co-Founder
Javier was educated in Aerospace Engineering where he developed skills in statistics and programming. He has a key interest in using his creativity and automation techniques to help clients operate more efficiently.
Transparent, analytical, and positive are excellent words to describe Javier. He has a competitive mentality, he loves playing strategy games in his free time to train his brain, and cinema is one of his biggest passions.
Yanik Lacroix
Co-Founder
Yanik also comes from an Aerospace Engineering background which earned him proficiency in advanced mathematics and computer science. He's a logical thinker, welcomes the challenge of solving a problem, and is looking forward to bringing insights through data into businesses and automating manual processes.
Yanik is enthusiastic about travel, learning from other diverse people around the globe, and spending time in the mountains.
Colby Rempfer
Co-Founder
Colby's expertise is in Economics with a focus on mathematical and statistical analysis. He brings an inventive mindset, keen attention to detail, and has an earnest desire to help businesses improve forecasting and market segmentation to better capture demand.
He takes his work seriously but not himself, as Colby is also a fantasy sports stat-head, beer-league athlete, and is fond of playing chess in his spare time to stay sharp.
Our Name
The word Alyra is short for Alpha Lyrae, which is the Latin name for the brightest star in the Lyra constellation, and the fifth brightest in the night sky. Also commonly known as Vega, we named our business after this star as we feel it shares qualities with our brand and overall identity.
Conceived during the very turbulent COVID-19 pandemic, it seemed appropriate to name our business in honour of a star, as a nebula undoubtedly hosts some of the most hostile conditions to be born into. What makes Alpha Lyrae so special is how it’s qualities and trajectory mirror the culture and goals of our company. First of all it is bright and young compared to our own solar system (at roughly 455 million years old, it is a spring chicken next to our 4.6 billion year old Sun). More importantly though, is that due to a spinning top-like wobble in our Earth’s axis, in the future Alpha Lyrae will become the new guiding North Star.
